Certificate of Advanced Studies Collaboration with Manhattanville College

The Westchester Institute for Teachers, in collaboration with Manhattanville College, offers a Teacher Leaders certificate program. The certificate of advanced studies is 15 credits.

The program focuses on supporting Teacher Leaders who are in designated leadership positions, those who assume informal leadership roles, and those teachers who would like to assume a leadership role in their schools. Interested participants must hold a Bachelors Degree in the field of education and be a provisionally certified educator. In addition, candidates must substantiate leadership potential or past leadership through two letters of recommendation and an essay submission that demonstrates leadership involvement in the schools.

Each 15 credit course of study is being offered at a significantly discounted tuition rate. The 5 courses in the program are listed below. Please call or email the Westchester Institute for Teachers to request additional information.
